ABOUT US
After much prayer and fasting, God confirmed that Pastor Rhoden and his family were called to start the Prayer Baptist Church in Boiling Springs, SC. God opened doors that only He could open. He has and continues to provide every step of the way! Boiling Springs is a growing area with thousands of new houses being built in the area. Our desire is to reach the area through the preaching of God’s Word.
Our first service was held on August 11th of 2019 in a store front building. From there, the Lord allowed us to grow and in early 2021 we purchased our permanent property with 2 acres of land. The property already had two buildings, which we have started remodeling to make them as nice as we can.
God has done a great work and we are excited to see what God has planned in the days ahead! What a joy it is to serve the Lord! We would love to meet you and your family and worship the Lord together!

At the young age of 6 years old, God opened my eyes and under conviction I called on the Lord to save my soul from Hell! I was privileged to have parents who made it a priority to take me to church. I remember as a child hearing the Man of God preach with passion and a desire to reach sinners. One evening as my mother was putting me in bed, she read scripture and prayed. I remember as she began to walk away there was great conviction on me. I knew that I was lost and needed to be saved. I cried for my mother to come back in the room. I asked the Lord that night to save me! I am thankful for His mercy and grace that He showed me as a 6-year-old child. The Lord will save you today if you turn to Him!
In July of 2016, I answered the call to preach. That same year I enrolled in the Believers Institute For Biblical Studies and would from there, graduate with my Bachelors degree. It is my heart's desire that we can be servants for he Lord as long as He allows. The Lord has been so good to me and my family!
When I am not preaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors. The Lord has blessed us with three beautiful daughters; Abrielle, Gracie, and Melody. I also volunteer at our local Fire Department where the Lord has opened the door for me to be the Chaplain. What a joy it is serving the Lord and others!

The first thing I want to say is that around the age of 8 years old I was at a church camp; there were probably 20 other kids and myself that made professions of faith. A few years later in 2006 I knew something wasn’t right. I realized that at any age you can die, and that scared me. In June of 2006 I went on vacation with a friend and her family. I was under conviction so much and at that time I didn’t understand why. I was so scared I went home early from vacation. I did anything to get my mind off of dying. As soon as I got home, I started helping my Dad work in the yard, I knew something wasn’t right. I remember saying out loud, “I’m going to Hell.” As an 11-year-old I didn’t know what to do. My Dad didn’t go to church and my mother who took us was at work. Even after realizing I was lost; I didn’t get saved. Within that same month on a Sunday morning at church the pastor preached on the rapture. That conviction came back to me and thankfully I didn’t push the Holy Ghost away! I went to the alter and got SAVED! I’m thankful He never gave up on me!
